Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get started?
Upload a document or paste a URL on the Extract page. Choose what to extract â vocabulary terms, structured data using a schema, or ask questions about the content. Results appear in real time as the AI processes your document.
What file formats are supported?
We support PDF, TXT, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, HTML, and many other text-based formats. Images within documents are processed using OCR. For audio and video files (MP3, WAV, MP4, and more), we extract and transcribe the audio content.
How does the credit system work?
Credits are consumed when you use the service. URL text extraction costs 1 credit (cached results are free, and file uploads have no extraction charge). Schema generation costs 1 credit. Data extraction costs 1 credit per item. Document Q&A costs 1 credit per question. Audio/video transcription costs 15 credits per minute, rounded up. Your credit balance is shown in the navigation bar.
How does Document Q&A work?
After uploading or linking a document, switch to the Q&A tab to ask questions about its content. The AI reads your document and provides streaming answers in real time. Each question costs 1 credit.
What are the export and sharing options?
You can export extraction results in Markdown format for notes or Quizlet format for flashcards. You can also share results with others via a unique link â recipients can view your results without needing an account.
How does audio/video transcription work?
Upload an audio or video file, and we'll extract and transcribe the audio content. Transcription costs 15 credits per minute of audio, rounded up to the nearest minute. Once transcribed, you can extract data or ask questions about the content just like any other document. Cached transcriptions are free.
How long are my documents stored?
Documents are stored temporarily for processing and automatically deleted within approximately 30 minutes. We never use your documents to train AI models.
Where can I find my past extractions?
Your extraction history is available from the Extract page. You can review previous results, re-export them, or delete them.
What if extraction takes too long?
Most documents process within 30 to 60 seconds. Larger documents or complex schemas may take up to 2 to 3 minutes. If processing seems stuck, try refreshing the page and starting again. Audio/video transcription time depends on the length of the media.
