Terms of Service

The rules and guidelines for using our platform

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using idea genesis, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
These terms apply to all users, whether using a free account, paid subscription, or browsing as a guest.

You must be at least 13 to create an idea genesis account on your own. By creating an account or continuing to use the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
We may ask you to pick an age range to confirm you are 13 or older. We don't save your answer.
We're working on parent-managed and school-managed access for younger learners. It isn't available yet.
You may sign in using Google, Microsoft, or other supported authentication providers. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
Each person may maintain only one account. Sharing account credentials is not permitted.
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that show signs of unauthorized access or misuse.

The service operates on a credit-based model. Different actions consume different amounts of credits:
Text extraction from a URL costs 1 credit. Cached results do not consume credits. File uploads do not incur an extraction charge.
AI schema generation costs 1 credit.
Structured data extraction costs 1 credit per item extracted or no-output LLM attempt.
Document Q&A costs 1 credit per question.
Audio and video transcription costs 15 credits per minute of audio, rounded up to the nearest minute. Cached transcriptions are free.
Credits are consumed when the operation starts, even if it does not complete successfully.
Credit allocations vary by subscription tier. Free-tier users receive a limited monthly allocation.

Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a recurring monthly basis.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change takes effect.
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support for billing disputes.

If you give us your mobile number, you consent to receive text messages from 2Labz LLC (idea genesis) about your support requests, your account, and related business correspondence. These are one-to-one messages sent by a person — we do not send marketing or automated campaigns from this number.
Message frequency varies with your interactions with us. Most recipients receive fewer than 5 messages per month.
Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier's standard rates apply to messages you send and receive.
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. We will send one confirmation message and then no further texts. Reply START if you later want to resubscribe.

We do not share mobile opt-in data, consent, or phone numbers with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy at https://ideagenesis.ai/privacy for details.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

You agree not to upload documents containing illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringing content.
You may not attempt to circumvent rate limits, abuse the credit system, or exploit vulnerabilities in the service.
Automated scraping, bulk extraction, or any activity that places excessive load on the service is prohibited without prior written consent.
You may not use the service to generate content that violates applicable laws or regulations.
When you use the browser extension to send a page to idea genesis, you are responsible for having the right to send that content — including any site terms or license that applies to it. Do not use the extension to bulk-capture a site or to work around a paywall or access restriction.

You retain full ownership of documents you upload and the data contained within them. Pages you capture with the browser extension are treated as uploads for the purposes of this section.
You grant idea genesis a limited, temporary license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service. For uploads, this license ends when your 30 minutes upload window expires. For URL extractions, it ends after 60 minutes.
You confirm that you have the rights needed to upload and process any content you submit. If your documents contain personal information about other people, you are responsible for having any consents or legal basis required to share that information with the service.
AI-generated outputs, including vocabulary lists, structured extractions, and Q&A responses, are provided for your personal or professional use without restriction.

Shared extraction results are accessible via unique tokens. You are responsible for who you share these links with.

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the entire service at any time, with or without notice.
Scheduled maintenance may cause temporary unavailability. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned downtime.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, idea genesis and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are responsible for verifying any information before relying on it for important decisions.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, abuse the service, or engage in fraudulent activity.
You may permanently delete your account from your profile page. Deletion is irreversible. Approved public contributions may remain available without your account details, and we may retain limited pseudonymous security records for a short time to prevent abuse.
Termination does not entitle you to a refund of unused credits or subscription fees for the current billing period.

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States.
Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision.
We will notify users of significant changes through email or prominent notices on the platform.
Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
