The rules and guidelines for using our platform

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using idea genesis, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
These terms apply to all users, whether using a free account, paid subscription, or browsing as a guest.

You may sign in using Google, Microsoft, or other supported authentication providers. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
Each person may maintain only one account. Sharing account credentials is not permitted.
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that show signs of unauthorized access or misuse.

The service operates on a credit-based model. Different actions consume different amounts of credits:
Text extraction from a URL costs 1 credit. Cached results do not consume credits. File uploads do not incur an extraction charge.
AI schema generation costs 1 credit.
Structured data extraction costs 1 credit per item extracted.
Document Q&A costs 1 credit per question.
Audio and video transcription costs 15 credits per minute of audio, rounded up to the nearest minute. Cached transcriptions are free.
Credits are consumed when the operation starts, even if it does not complete successfully.
Credit allocations vary by subscription tier. Free-tier users receive a limited monthly allocation.

Paid subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a recurring monthly basis.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.
We reserve the right to change pricing with reasonable notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change takes effect.
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact support for billing disputes.

You agree not to upload documents containing illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringing content.
You may not attempt to circumvent rate limits, abuse the credit system, or exploit vulnerabilities in the service.
Automated scraping, bulk extraction, or any activity that places excessive load on the service is prohibited without prior written consent.
You may not use the service to generate content that violates applicable laws or regulations.

You retain full ownership of documents you upload and the data contained within them.
You grant idea genesis a limited, temporary license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service. This license ends when your document is deleted (approximately 30 minutes after upload).
AI-generated outputs, including vocabulary lists, structured extractions, and Q&A responses, are provided for your personal or professional use without restriction.

Shared extraction results are accessible via unique tokens. You are responsible for who you share these links with.

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature or the entire service at any time, with or without notice.
Scheduled maintenance may cause temporary unavailability. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned downtime.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, idea genesis and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are responsible for verifying any information before relying on it for important decisions.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, abuse the service, or engage in fraudulent activity.
You may request account deletion at any time by contacting our support team. Upon deletion, your account data and activity history will be permanently removed.
Termination does not entitle you to a refund of unused credits or subscription fees for the current billing period.

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States.
Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision.
We will notify users of significant changes through email or prominent notices on the platform.
Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
